Hi everyone,

In October, we advanced our core technology and gathered enterprise feedback to shape the beta customer dashboard. Our November priorities are backend integration, converting commercial proposals into paid engagements, and launching our $5M institutional pre-seed.

In October:

  • Advanced our core technology. Stood up a pre-alpha 1 GW AI-factory digital twin, added searchable agent memory to support token efficiency, and advanced the APIs connecting our assessment engine and client-specific knowledge base to the customer dashboard.

  • Gathered feedback on our beta dashboard. Demoed the beta to enterprise prospects and continued developing an AI-native interface to make security findings easier to understand and act on.

  • Deepened commercial discussions. Advanced customer proposals and partnership discussions with providers of infrastructure management, building controls, and design software.

  • Pursued government funding and policy engagement. Following encouragement from Space Force, submitted Project Gadfly, seeking approximately $2M over 24 months through SpaceWERX. Separately, engaged Rep. Min‘s and Sen. Schiff‘s offices on cybersecurity provisions for data-center legislation.

Next: Put the interactive dashboard in design partners’ hands, convert a commercial opportunity into our first paid engagement, and advance investor discussions toward a lead commitment.

Product & technology

October brought progress across Kumio’s AI engine, evidence infrastructure, and simulation capabilities:

  • AI assessment efficiency: Added searchable agent memory so agents can retrieve earlier work while carrying less conversation history into each model request, creating a path to lower token consumption on longer assessments.

  • Agent execution controls: Improved context management, live operator controls, and usage monitoring, giving our team more visibility and control as we develop autonomous security workflows.

  • Traceable security findings: Added versioned report storage and a visual evidence explorer so reviewers can trace findings to supporting evidence and inspect the original captures.

  • AI-factory digital twin: Built and verified a working NVIDIA DSX network simulation of a 1 GW data center, establishing a test environment for cyber-to-physical validation across information technology and operational technology systems.

  • Beta customer dashboard: Established the customer portal’s frontend and security baseline; backend integration is next before sharing the beta with design partners.

Pilots & partners (go-to-market)

  • Data-center operators and developers: Advanced opportunities with several operators, developers, and an AI infrastructure provider. Progress included interest in a design partnership, an assessment proposal, scoping across multiple properties, and discussions around potential test sites. A prospective development partner also shared project materials and invited us to visit two data-center sites.

  • Infrastructure software partnerships: Advanced discussions with Honeywell, Aravolta (YC Spring ‘25), Radix IoT (a subsidiary of Brookfield-backed Compass Datacenters) and Shipeng to bring cybersecurity into data-center management, building controls, and design workflows.

  • Low Earth orbit (LEO) data centers: Advanced exploratory discussions with two space infrastructure companies on cybersecurity for orbital data centers and supporting ground infrastructure. Progress included a technical discussion and proposed design partnership with one prospect, and engagement with a commercial lead and a scheduled follow-up with the other. Mutual nondisclosure agreements remain under review.

  • Dual-use technology: Project Gadfly proposes adapting Kumio’s AI threat-detection technology to protect satellite ground systems. At SpaceWERX’s invitation, we submitted a proposal seeking approximately $2 million over 24 months to develop this capability.

  • Data-center cybersecurity policy: Engaged Rep. Min‘s and Sen. Schiff‘s legislative offices on incorporating cyber resilience assessments and ongoing verification into the Energy Cost Fairness and Reliability Act (S.4559 / H.R.10579), establishing a connection with Schiff’s technology-policy lead.

Press & visibility

  • Reuters: Engaged cybersecurity correspondent A.J. Vicens on opportunities for expert commentary.

  • ABB: Keynote speaker at an industry event in Poland.

  • Greek broadcast news: Vangelis appeared on air to share his cybersecurity expertise.

  • Binance hack: Received interview requests for Vangelis’s analysis.

  • Asahi Shimbun: Featured Vangelis’s research into North Korean cyber activity. Read the article.

Pre-seed raise

We’re ready to launch our $5M institutional pre-seed, targeting a lead investor to anchor $1–3M. In October, we re-engaged warm investor contacts and expanded our outreach channels.

Jinhee co-chaired and spoke at the CKA Envision Summit and Gala, which brought together 600 Korean-American leaders. Her participation generated new investor conversations and strengthened Kumio’s visibility among venture investors in the Bay Area and New York.

We activated Alliance for SoCal Innovation’s SoCal Venture Pipeline, with the Alliance team pursuing warm introductions to priority investors in its network. Derek’s “Best of the Best” pitch generated investor follow-ups. We’re also activating NVIDIA Inception Capital Connect to expand our reach into NVIDIA’s global venture-capital network.

Priorities (30–60 days)

  1. Technology: Improve agent efficiency, connect the digital-twin environment to our agent platform, and launch the NTUA research collaboration to strengthen our AI-agent infrastructure and advance a self-hosted, cybersecurity-specialized model.

  2. Product: Connect the customer dashboard to the backend and prepare the beta for design partners.

  3. Go-to-Market — Pilots & Partnerships: Advance scoped assessments, design-partner opportunities, and partnerships across data-center and space infrastructure.

  4. Revenue: Convert active commercial proposals into our first paid engagement.

  5. Fundraising: Launch the $5M institutional pre-seed and advance prioritized investor outreach toward a $1–3M lead commitment.

How you can help

Warm introductions that shorten the path to a lead investor or a design partner would help most:

  • Lead investors: Pre-seed or seed funds able to lead with $1–3M, including both generalists and specialists. A cybersecurity or infrastructure focus is welcome, but not required.

  • Data-center ecosystem: Operators, developers, commissioning and engineering firms, controls integrators, and infrastructure-management or channel partners open to a scoped assessment or design partnership.

  • Space and government: Space-data-center and satellite-ground-system operators, plus public-sector contacts who can help us understand requirements and identify appropriate design-partner conversations.

A short email introduction is perfect. We’re happy to provide a company overview and supporting materials to share with your contacts.

P.S. With gratitude

Thank you for your introductions and advice in October. We’ll be reaching out individually to share a personal update.

With gratitude,
Jinhee and the Kumio team
